In Room 7 we have been working in partners to read different stories from the bible, my partner was Joseph and we read Genesis 2:7-9.15-25;3:1-24 the story of Adam and Eve.

This is our summary.

Our story was about Adam and Eve disobeying God's rules
Eve was tempted by the snake to eat the apple.
They got  banished from the Garden Of Eden and got cursed from God.

It was noisy morning in the country of Syria, i woke up to the sound of ambulance sirens, from nearby houses, i was wondering to myself what was happening, so i stood up and headed straight to the door, i was horrified with what i saw, the air was dark and there was smoke everywhere all the buildings were burnt and it felt like it was the end of the world, everything was gone, even my family.

In Room 7 we have been playing a learning game called Astria Countdown to Imapct, we have also been working in partners, so we can help each other. During this game we have been doing a lot of reading to get the right answers in the correct box.

 Here are five things you need to watch out for to identify fake news.

1. you should look at the rates to see if anyone rated the news. Is it trustworthy.

2. you should look at where the information was from. Should they be trusted?

3. you can also see if the news is factual. are the facts true?

4.look at the information carefully to see if he gave evidence about his opinion on which one. 

5. see if the news is biased. is it unfairly?

 On a scale of 1-5, how successfully did you problem solve with your partner today?

i will rate my partner and i as a 4 because it was difficult for us to put the right answer in the right box

Please include any ways you would collaborate differently with them next time you play.

My favourite thing about camp was spending time with my friends, especially with my roommate Maris Stella. I also enjoyed doing all of the activities with my group and another thing is that we got time to bond with people who don't normally associate with inside the class.

It was a lovely day and as i went past the slow sunrise, i was petaling ,fast as if i was late for a meeting, but instead i was late for school, school starts at 8:55 am and i woke up at 9:30 am, i was so disappointed at myself because today was the day i was going to present the movies for the Manaiakalani Movie Festival 2018.

It was about time that i got to school and i saw everyone in the bus,lucky i ran and got in the bus with Room 5, because apparently my class Room 7 left an hour earlier to setup the microphones and the other equipments, i felt like i was devastated.

learn: to be able to write 100 words.

I was stuck and it started to get dark and all i could feel is the wind blowing through my ear to the the other. I can also feel the soft snow dashing down from the sky and hitting my fingertips as I hold the red rose in my hands. I was holding it and all i could think about is my Mum who was the only person in my life that was special to me, but anyways the reason why I was holding the rose because she loved roses and on the day she left me. She left it right next to me.

Task: to write explanation writing 

This week i have revisited, consolidated, re-learnt, and have confirmed,the structure of an explanation writing.

Wouldn’t it be more beneficial? , if St Pius X could change the times for morning teas and lunchtimes. The reason behind this is that it always feel like they are short ,but if we get our learning done in the morning, from 9:00 to 1:00 pm, we can have a longer break from 1:00 to 2:00 pm which is a whole hour of playing.

Changing the time, will help the teachers with getting everything done,especially with our learning, also it will give us time to finish off things that we haven't finished and completed.This will be a good idea, because it will give us more time to do our work, instead of rushing it and getting it uncompleted.

In the future i would like to see my changes that i have made in St Pius X.

learn: to write a explanation writing 

The worst incident that happened in the holidays was when we had to make food for a funeral that happened during the holidays, it was my worst incident because there was a lot of things to do, especially waking up early to do it, cooking the food and plating it, but luckily there was a lot of my family members that was there to help.

It was about 5:00 in the afternoon and we were done with everything, everyone got dressed and drove to the funeral which was right next to St Pius, it wasn’t till later on, when people came out of the house to get there food, we had to give one bowl to each person,because we thought that we didn’t make enough bowls for everyone to take,but at the end when mostly everyone left there was a lot more bowls left, but we didn’t know what to do with it, luckily there was people who were still inside the house and at the back and after the funeral, we went back home feeling tired and relief.

In class we have been writing down four vocabulary's that makes other words sound interesting: for example, one of my words was Nervous and with my word or vocabulary, we had to found other words that will make it sound interesting but still has to be refer to the word that i picked which was nervous,(eg Nervous: Anxious, stressed, shaky, fussy, jumpy, afraid, annoyed and shy.

learn: to do a descriptive writing

It was the 16th of September the 60th Anniversary of my school and as i walked up the stage, i was nervous but at the same time excited, for this reason is because before going on stage, my hands started to get sweaty and i couldn’t stop shaking and touching my costume. The reason why i was excited at the same time was because, i knew that my group will do really well because we have practice for 2 to 3 weeks just to get this performance prepared for this special day, the audience was staring at us and all i could hear from the crowd was them screaming “whooooo”.

It wasn’t at the end when people stood up and danced to our last action song. This was my favourite highlight because i got the opportunity to perform with my Tongan group on stage.

In tech i have been finishing of colouring and drawing my name, i wrote my one in bubble writing and then at the end, we had to colour the letters and the background in, this was a fun task because we got to use our imagination.

It was rainy day in Auckland and Daniel was slowly driving to work on his enormous yellow truck., it started to get thundery when he was going up to Glen Innes his huge window wipers didn’t work at that time, so everything started to get blurry for him.

Daniel was quickly driving in zigzags around Glen Innes, everyone was staring at him and it came to a point that Daniel had a car accident, when he had the accident he didn’t know that the cabbage at the back of his truck fell out and everyone who watched him by the footpath saw the cabbages flowing down the road, luckily he made it out alive, everyone around Daniel was scared and worried, there was other people who was screaming “ look at those cabbage”, Daniel was angry because he knew that had to pick it up,there was more than  100 cabbage so it was really hard for him to pick it all up, it wasn’t at the end when everyone who was watching Daniel kindly helped him pick up all the cabbage and when they finished Daniel returned the cabbage to the shop.
